Remember everyone, due to the 4th of July being so near our regular club meeting, we are postponing it to NEXT TUESDAY the 10th
We have a Facebook page!
Hello everyone. We now have a Facebook page. It is currently closed, so you have to be invited to be in it. Members of the Valleyv8s can friend me on Facebook and I will add you to the FB group. My username is 1939mars.
Drive your Ford to the next meeting
Hey everyone. Lets all drive our flatheads to the next meeting! The president has asked that we get as many in the parking lot as we can. It should be a good meeting and great break time looking at all the beautiful Fords
Self Driving Flatheads?
No, I’m just trying to scare you. You get to drive your old friend still. Wouldn’t that be ugly with all of the gear you have to put on top of a car to get it to go! Mine looks great just as it is, thank you very much.
Drive Lines now on the web page
We have added a new page to the web site – Drive Lines on line. Each month a PDF version of the Valley V8’s newsletter will be posted at the Drive Lines link. You can also find the link on the navigation bar at the top of each page.
Ack! My dues are late – and so are yours
If you have not paid dues for the year yet (like me), you are late! See our membership person at the meeting on Tuesday to get up to date.
Fun with an old friend
Its time to go out to the shop and work on an old friend. Or maybe get it out for a spin. Our cars were meant to move!
Beautiful Driving Weather
We are so lucky down here in southern California that we have 80 degree and sunny days at the beginning of February. Time to get that flathead out!!
Wet weather
We have had some wet weather here finally. Did not get the pickup out thought because I had to change the windshield seal. It is unfortunately not one of the nice molded Bob Drake versions so it is so poorly sealed I can see lots of light through it and know I would end up soaked. Drake’s has been on backorder for a hear and a half! As soon as I get a Drake seal in, I’ll be ready for wet weather again.
Still needs some 5000 mile work
With the holidays I have not been able to complete my 5000 mile maintenance. Front wheel bearings still need repacking, all 4 brakes need checking, distributor needs checking, etc. Hopefully by the time of my next post all of that will be history!
