Lynn and Rich’s 1949 F1 Pickup

You know the phrase, “be careful what you wish for?” Well, in my opinion, what I wished for, and what I actually received is so much more than a delightful dream. About 15 years ago, I told Rich that I really would like to have an old pickup to drive to Farmers Markets, wineries, and vintage vehicle shows. So, on a Saturday a few weeks later, he came home from a cruise in, telling me about this all original 1949 F-1, with a V-8 Flathead, manual 3 speed, in dark green with a beautiful bed that never needs to be “made.”

Anyway, we went to look at this fine Ford the following week, and Rich told me not to look “too excited.” I was barely able to contain myself when I saw this fabulous Ford F-1! We walked around, talked with the owner, kicked the tires, and went home. The following week, Rich presented me with the truck for Mother’s Day, and I’ve been proud of “my F-1 ever since, winning awards, thumbs up, and big smiles as I roll along the country roads in MI. Thank you for giving me what I wished for, Rich!
